Canons Kicking Off Season With a Win!

The Roman Canon’s started off their 2014 intermural flag football season with a blast, with a 27 to 6 victory this past Sunday. There are high hopes for the games to come and the excitement within the seminary is beginning to grow. Many of the players on the team are first year seminarians and have strengthened the depth of the team.

First year seminarian, William Bolin, started at safety and had three interceptions. The quarterback was another first year seminarian, Mark Dwyer, who also had a great game with three touchdowns. Defensively and offensively it was a truly impressive game. Some of seminarians are saying that in the past four years, the team has never looked so good.

With tougher opponents looming in the future schedule, the Canon’s aren’t getting overconfident, but this win has definitely given the team a boost of energy that will carry over until the next game.
