Cardinal Wuerl writes letter to seminarians on intellectual formation

On September 3, 2012 - the Memorial of Pope St. Gregory the Great - Cardinal Donald Wuerl issued a letter to his own seminarians entitled, "Fides Quaerens Intellectum: Faith Seeking Understanding in the Life of the Seminarian." It is a beautiful reflection on the importance of solid and rigorous intellectual formation in the course of preparing for the priesthood, nourished by the living tradition of the Catholic Faith and grounded in fidelity to the teaching office of the Church. It is worth reading - and not only for seminarians!
