This is a unique experience to support our seminarians, meet others, grow in faith, and get in shape. While we have been riding in other organized rides for many years, beginning in 2021, we hosted our own with stops at various Catholic Churches in Southern Maryland. We were posted on Saturday, October 1 due to inclement weather. Now, we will ride on Sunday, October 9, 2022.
The schedule will be as follows:
10:15 am Rider’s mass
11:30 am Start from Sacred Heart (100, 70 and 50 mile routes)
12:30 pm Start from Immaculate Conception (21-mile bike trail)
2:00 pm Picnic will start at Sacred Heart following your ride
As you prepare to preliminarily choose a route, please consider the following:
If you plan to ride 100 miles your average speed should be a minimum of 15mph, 14.5 with very short stops.
If you plan to ride 70 miles, your average speed should be a minimum of 11.
The 21-mile bike trail ride starts and ends at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (located on the trail). You will need to drive from Sacred Heart to Immaculate Conception to start your ride.
